Festivals
Most of the festivals are held in the city of Agadir during the summer, since it is this period that witnesses a significant increase in visitors coming to enjoy its beaches. During the summer, the city hosts many festivals and cultural activities, the most famous are:
Timitar Festival, a festival attended by many Moroccan and foreign artists and mainly concerned with Amazigh music. This festival is organized every summer in separate places of the city including Al-Amal Square, Bijawan Square and the Al-Hawae Talq Theatre. It was organized for the first time in July 2004.
The Festival of Tolerance is an international music festival that takes place on the beach in October of every year; The Festival hosts several international singers.
Esni Orgh Festival, Amazigh Film Festival.
SOCAR Street Arts Festival, which was held for the first time in the city in May 2010; the word “Socar” means “The arts market.”

Agadir lacks infrastructure for cultural and artistic activities, and for this reason, the respective authorities have launched several new projects to support the city’s cultural and artistic sector. Among the future projects that the city will know are:
The Grand Theater of Agadir
Dar Al Funun is a project that aims to establish an institution that hosts various forms of art, from visual arts to live arts, in addition to music, dance and theater.
The cultural and food tasting complex which will be built on Resistance Street, close to the music school of Agadir.
The old headquarters of Bank Al-Maghrib, which will be renovated to house the Museum of Memory of Agadir.
The Great Media Library on Mohammed V Avenue
The public reading network includes many areas of Agadir Commune territory (Agadir Medina, Anza, Tikiouine, Bensergao, City Gardens, Corniche).
